Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the subtropical inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal. Established in 1973, it covers an area of 952.63 square kilometers and is renowned for its biodiversity, particularly its populations of rare species such as the Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephant, and gharial crocodile.
